That is a strange question to me. As though YHWH is DOING as man does
things. He is Elohim and prophecies spoken through His prophets are
coming true. He said He would once again shake everything, both in the
land and in the heavens. When it is done, all that can be shaken will be
no more.
Only that of His Kingdom will remain in the end.

But joy can come from this knowledge as when we see THESE things come to
fulfillment, we know His other prophecies are soon to come to fulfillment
as well.

Another thing He was 'doing' was grieving over His people Israel. A
stubborn, stiff necked people. Yet His judgments contain the ultimate in
mercy. For He chastises ONLY those He loves. And so we are no different
than our Fathers were when they rebelled in the wilderness. A people who
dont really believe, and who even if they do, are not willing to lay down
their own lives for the faith. Selfish, spoilt, chasing after the words
of prophets whom YHWH never said to speak. Chasing blessings and
forgetting just who we are supposed to be and what we are to be about.
Not lovers of truth, but lovers of self.

We could say though that this was just the enemy of Elohim coming against
His chosen people I suppose. But that really doesnt wash. Not when you
see His-Story in all of creation and his dealings with His people.

If Johnthe B was here today, he would be speaking the smae message as
2000 years ago. Repent! Turn around! Turn back to the Father! Prepare the
way, for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand.

But really, how many would listen? Only He knows. But the cry is going
out and has been for a few years. And strangely it is going unoticed in
much of the church. I fear we have been innoculated against receiving the
truth of the matter.

Permitting the evil of man to further His purpose. The events of 9-11 were just some of the 'all things' that work together for the good of his people.

How did these events further that purpose? God didn't say. But we may consider that the same factors applied in New York, Washington and Pennslyvania at that time as do everywhere else:
1. The wicked are suddenly cut-off, a warning to the unconverted to be ready to give an account to God.
2. The righteous are suddenly cut-off, a warning to Christians that their time to serve God here is precious.

A special significance may be accorded to these events, however. They can be taken as a 'sign of the time', an indication that the end of all things is near. The global impact on the nations fits well with the 'distress of nations' our Lord foretold would immediately precede His Appearing.

So we may say that as well as the common providence, 9-11 exhibits also the marks of His special work in bringing sinning mankind toward Armageddon.
